Question: does helping Ansbach conflicts with helping Hornsent when Leda invades? I want the swift slash ash of war but I don't wanna miss out Ansbach's bow.

yeah best quests... but design shit where we don't know where NPC are i just arrive at the 19:45 moment to fight them so doesn't get the lion shield... disappointed

I legit teared up during this, part of me knew it was inevitable but I had secretly hoped each character had realized how dangerous Miquella is, especially Freyja and Hornset

I wish we could recruit Freyja to our side. It doesn’t make sense that she is okay with Radahn becoming Miquellas puppet.

I really like that all of Miquella’s followers are from different factions. We have representatives of Radahn, Mohg, Miquella, St Trina… and each of them expand each of their lords lore. The battle and the characters themselves were great. I wish we could also get some more characters, for example a knight from my Gelmir who knew Rykard before his fall, or someone from Leyndell (on Morgott or Godwyn’s behalf), or a Carian mage (on Ranni’s behalf). Anyway, really liked this DLC!

Now we know what Lansseax could've looked like in her 'human form'. I don't blame Vyke honestly

Ansbach's character really calls into question whether Mohg was always a murder-happy psycho or if that too was orchestrated by Miquella. Culling Tarnished does align with Miquella's goal, after all.

God man did anyone else get emotional having to fight them all?

My favorite part of the entire DLC this united team battle gave me that feeling of comradery through battle it but have to admit stings my heart as well knowing you fighting against former allies especially Moore and the saddest part of this fight is the after math very first time in a Fromsoft game that we see many corpses of npc former comrades laying lifeless in the battlefield..

I have passed time countless of times and it still won't let me use the concotion, I don't know if it has something to do with me completing Thiollier's quest first...

I played a new game for this dlc, didn't finish the base game yet. I didn't know they would recognize me as the elden lord during this. That's cool

after watching lore vids this battle actually makes sense...

its interesting that hornsent probably knows exactly why marika enacted the crusade. he doesn't wonder. he just says that marika betrayed his people and must fall - it's a cycle of revenge. like, they did the jar shit to marikas people, and then marika started the crusade. he also says that miquella will redeem 'his' clan. so he is aware of the wrongdoings, presumably having been a potentate himself (headgear description). he wants revenge first and then redemption (from miquella, and for the hornsent) two different things. if you summon him for mesmer, he goes mad with bloodthirst, turning his blade upon you asap as someone belonging to the golden order. if you don't, he stays faithful to miquella, hence joining leda again for the final battle. i think he's interesting. all of the npcs are, really.

The ending where everyone gets what they fucking deserve...

I wish Igon would come to aid us in this fight screaming his heart out again.

The best players I've summoned during this fight are the 'Ashen One' & 'Good Hunter' It really feels like I'm summoning the heroes of the old & fighting side by side with history against Leda & her allies before the final fight. It's like their way of saying: "Go on, we'll open the path for you, the champion of this realm" PLS FROMSOFT, MAKE THIS A THING FOR AN EASTER EGG!

We all could learn a thing or 2 from Sir Ansbach, what a man!

Irina didn’t deserve that. But I don’t know what to feel about Hyetta. Just like Shabribri possessed Yura’s body, she did to Irina’s. Sweet as she might sound (at least at first) but whatever that “thing” possessed her body that leads towards the Three Fingers, must be nothing but evil even if she says she doesn’t mean harm to anyone (because you know what Frenzied Flame is like). So I always kill her whenever she becomes Hyetta.

It's enough to box them to make them stop singing. It is not necessary to kill any.

I‘ll be honest the NPC‘s in the DLC have got me hooked more to their stories than those in the main game with it‘s only exception for me being D and his Brother. They felt very meh compared to previous soulsborne NPC‘s
